The Capital Region MU Health Care Amphitheater announces DOPE A** SNEAKERS presented by Rebel Tacos on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 4 at 10:00 a.m.

The Dope A** Sneakers (DAS) are the area’s premier classic R&B and Hip Hop cover band. The band was named to their hometown Jefferson City’s ‘City’s Best’ list for 2021 and are known for their high-energy shows. DAS is made up of Bobby Showers (MC Robbie Rain) and Jeff Blumer (MC Jables) on lead vocals, Jay Pelzer on lead guitar and keys, Tom Reichart on drums, Steve Doerhoff on bass, and DJ Curtis Davis (aka Ya Girl’s Favorite DJ, DJ Curt!) on the ones and twos and supporting vocals.

“There are a lot of classic rock and 80s and 90s cover bands out there, but they don’t cover the classic hip hop songs that we do. We started this band because these songs are as iconic and significant to our pop culture as any songs out there. I was raised on these songs, so performing them live and having people jam out to the band is so much fun.” – Bobby Showers

Before the show, stop by the pool parking lot for Food Trucks featuring Rebel Tacos from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. No tickets needed for the food truck area until 7:30 p.m. when the show begins.
